Opioids and Naloxone Training

With the number of opioid-related overdoses and deaths sky-rocketing across North America, it is integral that everyone, be it residents, front-line workers, persons who use substances, etc., not only understand how opioids work in our bodies, but know the signs of an opioid overdose and how to respond. Join Claire Venet-Rogers, our Harm Reduction Community Education Coordinator at Pozitive Pathways as she provides a detailed exploration into our national, provincial, and regional rates of opioid overdoses, the various types of opioids available on the black market and via prescriptions, and get trained in administering Naloxone, an opioid antagonist. Content warning: explicit discussion of drug use, mention of opioid-related deaths and overdoses.
